The training wheel support struts attach securely both to the rear hub axle and the frame itself so that the training wheels don’t rotate out of plane with the rear wheel, preventing tips or spills.

The 20” Laser actually offers two types of brakes: a standard rear coaster brake, which most youngsters are familiar with, and a rear V-brake which many are not. Having the rear coaster brake as a back-up, allows youngsters to get used to hand-braking without going cold-turkey on the coaster brake they are comfortable with. A lightweight & durable aluminum Laser frame is easier to pedal than steel. Lightweight & durable aluminum X-20 frame is easier to pedal than steel. With tapered & ovalized tubing to optimize frame strength and durability while offering the cool looks today's young riders appreciate. A six-speed drivetrain is enough for any youngster to learn how to shift and master. It's also enough gearing to get around the neighborhood or park comfortably. There's a protective derailleur guard attached to the rear of the frame to protect the rear derailleur from knocks, keeping it in adjustment longer for greater safety & control.
Jamis X.24
The lightweight & durable aluminum X-24 frame is easier to pedal than steel. That suspension fork isn't just for cool looks. The 21-speed Shimano EZ-Fire Plus drivetrain features a Shimano TX35 rear derailleur, alloy 42/34/24 crankset & Shimano SIS 14-34T freewheel for smooth shifting, easy climbing & secure descents. The RST Gila suspension fork delivers 80mm of coil-sprung suspension travel with an MCU elastomer bumper that smoothes fork bottom-out. With a lightweight alloy crown and lowers and stout 28.6mm steel stanchions for stiffness, strength and a straight-tracking front wheel, this fork will deliver ride after ride.
